Clopay® imagineNATION Makeover Contest Continues in 2019

Residential garage door manufacturer Clopay is extending its imagineNATION Makeover Contest through 2019.

Homeowners who have replaced their garage door or entry door can submit before and after photos to the Clopay imagineNATION Makeover Contest for a chance to win $1,000.

Clopay will choose one winning makeover per month through December 31, 2019. Once an entry is received, it stays in the selection pool for the duration of the contest. There is no need to re-enter. Before and after photos can be uploaded directly to the imagineNATION Contest entry page for consideration. Read the “5 Tips for a Winning Photo” to capture your home at its best.

“Clopay launched the imagineNATION contest in June 2016 to showcase the impact a new garage door or entry door has on a home’s curb appeal,” said Pat Lohse, Clopay’s vice president of marketing. “We’ve built up an impressive gallery of before and after images on our contest community page to inspire homeowners who are looking for ideas to transform their exterior.”

“Professional garage door installation takes less than a day to complete. It’s a fast, affordable change that has an immediate impact on a home’s curb appeal and its resale value,” added Lohse.

In a nationwide survey conducted by an independent research firm on behalf of Clopay, 80 percent of realtors polled believe that a new garage door favorably impacts home value, and can potentially increase the listing price up to 4 percent.*

Garage door replacement also ranks as the No. 1 project for return-on-investment at resale in Remodeling magazine’s 2018 Cost vs. Value Report.**

“Realtors agree that curb appeal brings buyers through the door. If they don’t like the view from the outside, they probably won’t ever see the inside,” Lohse said. “Whether replacing your garage door is a planned project or an accidental one, there are so many new styles and colors you can choose to make your home stand out.
