Clopay, North America’s leading manufacturer and distributor of residential and commercial garage doors, is now the “Official Garage Door of the Kentucky Speedway”, thanks to a new sponsorship agreement with the Sparta, Ky. racing venue.
Clopay will kick off their sponsorship during a tripleheader NASCAR race weekend that opens with the July 9 Camping World Truck Series UNOH 225, is followed by a 300-mile NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) event July 10, and wraps up with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) Quaker State 400 on July 11.
Clopay will receive highly visible logo placement on signs posted above 104 garage bays at the Speedway during the 2015 season. A semi-truck trailer outfitted with a 44-foot long banner promoting Clopay as the “Official Garage Door of the Kentucky Speedway” will be parked in the Fan Zone during the July 9th race weekend and can be seen on the televised broadcasts of the races on FOX Sports 1 and NBC Sports Network.
“We are excited about our first venture into a NASCAR sponsorship program,” says Pat Lohse, Clopay’s vice president of marketing. “As the ‘Official Garage Door of the Kentucky Speedway’, thousands of visitors to this premier racing venue will be exposed to the Clopay brand and products on the high profile stage that NASCAR racing provides.”
Clopay is working with its local Master Authorized dealer, AE Door and Window Company, to install two state-of-the-art commercial Model 903 full view aluminum garage doors imprinted with custom logos on specialty glass on two bays in the Sprint Cup garage that houses the teams and owners.
“The Model 903 is often seen on car dealerships and service centers. It has also become quite popular with automotive enthusiasts who build custom garages to showcase their vehicles,” says Chad Riffell, director of sales and marketing for Clopay’s commercial products division. “The design of the doors installed at the Speedway demonstrates the potential to give the venue a sleek, modern appearance without compromising the reliable performance, rugged durability, and security required in a professional race environment.”
