Clopay’s Avante AX garage door has been named one of the Top 100 Products of 2021 by Pro Builder magazine.

Each year, Pro Builder’s Top 100 tallies up reader engagement in the building materials, doors, windows, fixtures, and fittings that have appeared in the magazine over the past 12 months, to determine which products generated the strongest interest. The results appeared in the August issue.

The Avante’s sleek, modern looks and low-maintenance durability have made it a design favorite among builders looking for ways to make the garage an architectural focal point, or as a unique solution to open up residential and commercial spaces for fresh air dining and entertaining.

The overhead sectional door is fitted with tempered glass panels, which admit natural light during the day and deliver a dramatic effect at night when the interior lights are on. The 2-1/8-inch-thick commercial-grade aluminum frame is designed for long-term resilience.

Clopay redesigned the Avante in 2019 to improve both style and performance. Updates include a redesigned frame with smooth stiles and rails, and a "squared-off" edge profile for cleaner transitions where the glass meets the frame. A bulb seal has been integrated into the door’s tongue and groove section joints to keep out air and water. The reinforcing fin has also been eliminated on door sizes that are 12’ and under.

The Avante will be featured on The New American Home^® (TNAH) and The New American Remodel^® (TNAR), which will be open for tours during the NAHB International Builders’ Show^® (IBS) in Orlando, February 8 – 10, 2022.
