What Goes on Behind Closed Garage Doors

Apr 14, 2011

“Tonight Show” host Jay Leno is known for being undeniably passionate about two things: comedy and cars. So audiences were a little shocked when Leno revealed for the first time on national television the unruly state of his home’s six-car garage. Let’s just say there seemed to be room for everything but the car.

The DIY Network series Garage Mahal completely renovated the space into unbelievable “his” and “hers” garages for the series opener that aired last April, and the results were inspirational.Big-Reveal-Clopay-Reserve-Collection

AFTER: This homeowner posted the results of her quest to add warmth and functionality to her unfinished garage on HGTV’s “Rate My Space” website. The addition of the chair rail molding and the two tone paint scheme is something usually reserved for formal dining rooms but realistically most of us probably use our garages more so why not make it look like a real living area?
