Boston Home Gets Historic Garage Appeal

Clopay has partnered with A Concord Carpenter on a makeover project that will give a two-car detached garage a dose of historic charm and character to match the New England village colonial house it belongs to.

The project involves installing cedar clapboards over the concrete block, a new historic paint color scheme and replacing the existing outdated wood garage doors with an architecturally appropriate vintage style.

The homeowners used Clopay's Door Imagination System to upload a digital photo of their garage and try on a variety of door styles to find best fit for their home.

First, take a look at the house.

The house and garage will be painted after the construction work is completed. The homeowners are considering a complementary color combination using beige, brown, gray/putty and burgundy or rust.
